Think before you click

Social media sites such as Twitter, personal blogs, and Facebook have blown up.

To date, Facebook has 800 million users and accounts for 1 out of every 5 page views on the internet worldwide.  With that in mind, there are millions of people who have access to your personal thoughts, blogs, and pictures, even if you think you are safe by setting your profile to “private.”  You might have a moment of anger and update your status in the heat of the moment, only to delete said status moments later; however, once you click, that post lives in Internet land forever.

What you put online not only effects your personal life, but can also damage your professional life.  It is not uncommon for prospective employers to research their  job candidates online.  Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and blogs offer up information about job seekers with the click of a button.  During interviews, some employers even went as far as to ask for usernames and passwords to various social media sites.  Luckily, the state senate just approved a bill prohibiting employers from asking for private usernames and passwords, but before this bill, many people felt they had no option.
However, just because employers cannot ask for your password does not mean they cannot find you online.  Next time you upload a picture for your profile, or want to vent via your blog, ask yourself if your employer, current or future child/ren, or yourself in ten years will be proud of what you are about to post.  Because once you hit submit, that post or picture will live on in Internet land forever

Top 5 destinations in the Philippines

Top 5 destinations in the Philippines
Chocolate Hills (BOHOL)
-        The Chocolate Hills is a famous tourist attraction of Bohol. The Chocolate Hills are rather unusual, it's rare to see a whole range of conical hills, all of them almost identical in height, for as long as your eye can reach. The folklore associated with them is rather amusing! It’s a great place to see from a geographical or uniqueness in landscape point of view.

To enjoy a great view of the Chocolate Hills, you need to climb one of them. One of the hills was converted to a viewing deck with an entrance fee of P50.00 per person. It’s a long way up as you need to climb its 213 concrete steps. But once you get up there, you’ll feel that it’s worth every calorie. After getting a good look at the hills, we got awed by their majestic beauty. I really like their smooth curve shape which is very uncommon. There are plenty of hills here in the country but none of them are as nicely shaped and flawless like these. These hills truly deserve to be the symbol of the whole province.

LOBOC RIVER (BOHOL)
-        The Loboc River is a river in the Bohol province of the Philippines. It is one of the major tourist destinations of Bohol, local and foreigners alike. The visitors, both locals and foreigners are treated with utmost care and foods being served are mainly Filipino cuisine and local delicacies. The Loboc River Cruise can’t be something optional if you don’t want to miss a superb experience in your Bohol country side tour. Imagine yourself enjoying a buffet lunch in a festival themed floating restaurant while enjoying the cool breeze blowing inside it as it traverses Loboc’s clean river which is surrounded by lush green plants. It was truly an amazing experience that I never expected. Eating lunch has never been this fun and relaxing.

The sight of a jade-green river with native restaurants afloat and with lush trees in the river bank can always make my eyes pop! That is why cruising in Loboc River is included in my 20 before 2020 Bucket List.  Being one of the Philippines top tourist destinations, a countryside tour in Bohol would be incomplete without having a lunch cruise in a floating restaurant.

PANGLAO(BOHOL)
Panglao Island is one the main tourist destinations on the Philippines. Talking about Panglao most of the people immediately think about "Alona Beach". Similar to Boracay you can find an amazing white beach and crystal clear water. Unfortunately also like Boracay this place has lost lots of its former beauty. Every season more and more restaurants and bars are opened and the beach gets pretty crowded during the high season. Still the diving around the island is one of the best of the Philippines. Especially Balicasag Island is really worth diving at. If you can avoid to go there in the very high season Alona Beach is still a beautiful place.

Mines View Park (BAGUIO CITY)
-        Mines View Park remains one of the most visited tourist spots in Baguio City. It offers a spectacular view of Benguet's gold and copper mines and the surrounding mountains. The mines in the areas surrounding Mines View Park were formerly operated by Benguet Corporation. The mines have long been closed and nowadays, the only view you’ll see are extensive residential areas blanketing the valleys. Again a result of the over-population the city has been experiencing for some time now.

-        Mines View Park is one colorful destination in Baguio City. It’s located in a cliff where we’ll see a nice view of Baguio City’s mountainous slope and abandoned mines. Aside from its scenic view, there’s a variety of things that the visitors can enjoy here which are presented in a colorful way. We’ll also find several souvenir shops in this park so expect this place to be very crowded.

PMA (BAGUIO)
-        The Philippine Military Academy in Fort Gregorio Del Pilar, Loakan Road, Baguio City prepares the best Filipino men and women for military services. The location was a little bit far from downtown.

-        There are a number of locations to stop for photo ops inside the PMA compound clustered here based on whether you have to park your car at some parking area to go down.

-        One major stop in this school for officers (pun intended) is near the PMA Headquarters. There’s a parking lot before the portion of the road that is off-limit to vehicles. In this area you’ll see the Sun Dial and the relief map of the Philippines, located in front of the Headquarter building. Old aircrafts from the Philippine Air

-        Force (PAF), like the Bell UH-1H all-purpose helicopter and the basic trainer Marchetti, are displayed here. There’s a PMA Museum, although I wasn’t able to go in because the souvenir stores at the back beacons. Just beside the parade grounds is the Tree House. So, when you go to Baguio City, make sure to drop by PMA. You’ll be surprised that it’s a tourist-friendly place even if it’s a serious military establishment.

The Mansion (BAGUIO)
-        The Mansion House was built in 1908 to serve as the official summer residence of U.S. Governor-Generals at the instance of Governor-General William Cameron Forbes. The name is derived from the summer cottage in New England of Governor Forbes whose administration the original Mansion House was built under. Architect William E. Parsons, based on preliminary plans by architectDaniel H. Burnham, the planner of the city of Baguio, designed the mountain retreat following the tenets of the City Beautiful Movement. In 1910, the meeting of the Second Philippine Legislature was held at the Mansion House for three weeks.

The house was badly damaged during the Second World War and was rebuilt in 1947. Since then, it has served as the holiday home and working office for each President of the Philippines during his or her visits to Baguio.[3]

FONTANA WATER PARK (PAMPANGA)
Fontana Water Park, the coolest place in the Central Luzon, Philippines. This facility has all the spills and thrills you want in a water amusement park. This is a tropical/jungle themed park with giant prehistoric creatures throughout. You’ll find rides for all ages from extreme wild rides to a kiddie's play area. With life guards and attendants throughout, Fontana Water Park is the ultimate cool-spot for safe, and fun family entertainment.

There are some places that develop and improve over time, while there are others that just deteriorate. Fortunately, Fontana Water Park in Pampanga proved to be the former. When I first saw this Water Park a decade ago, I was quite impressed with it back then.

Now, years later, it's even bigger and has more attractions. In the past, whenever I went to a theme park I headed to the biggest and most exciting attractions. The higher, the faster, the riskier a ride, the more I wanted it!  Now, I am in my mid-thirties, and already a mother of two tiny beings still in their diapers. Nature must have designed me to develop new instincts. I am now a nervous wreck. When I saw Fontana Water Park again, I saw it as an overwhelmingly big place full of potential dangers.

Top 3 best pasalubong for me

TOP 3 BEST PASALUBONGS FOR ME

There are lot of good foods here in the Philippines, especially when you're finding for "PASALUBONG". Here are the top 3 pasalubongs for me.

1st. The Original Buko pie of Laguna

Laguna is known to be home of the finest buko pies in the Philippines and so far. The Original Buko Pie is the best I've ever tasted.  Not too sweet and full of yummy young, tender buko slices in a crunchy well made crust that compliments the whole taste.  The filling is just so full of delicious tasting, carefully chosen buko that will definitely satisfy your cravings in the most pleasurable way.  Far better than Collette's that's too sweet and whose popularity has actually compromised the taste and quality of their buko pies, and most definitely far superior than the roaming buko pies that's sold by vendors everywhere.

2nd. The Silvanas of Sans Rival in Dumaguete

The silvanas was crunchy on the outside and melting soft in the inside. You can feel and taste the butter-cream filling every time you munch it. The nutty goodness of it makes it even tastier. The sweetness of it is just so perfect that it can make you crave for more. It is a barrage of flavors and textures that entices each taste bud. It’s very affordable and definitely worth the try.  I’d definitely recommend silvanas to anyone. When you happen to be in the city, make sure to never leave without munching on a slice or two. Don’t forget to buy a box for your loved ones and friends, either. I’m pretty sure they will love it.

3rd. Ube jam of Baguio (good sheperd)

If you happen to visit Baguio city for weekend getaway, you may want to buy some Ube Jam as a take home or “pasalubong”. As for Me, I love Ube jam from Baguio. We never fail to drop by Good Shepherd to buy these delicious Ube jams.

Top 5 smartphones

We all love to be updated with all the new things or trending things in life like fashion, travel & living, food, etc... But! When it comes to gadgets we all definitely want to know what’s hot and what’s not! So here are my top 5 best smart phones! :))

1.) iPhone 5

When we hear Mac, we already think of it as the best right? I’m not saying that other techie brands are not good it’s just that Mac has that extra awesomeness and uniqueness that we all love!
Recently, Mac produced their latest version of iPhone and that is the iPhone 5. I know right now some of you might be asking, what are the advantages? Why buy it when it seems like they all look the same? First of all, it’s thinner and lighter. Second, only iPhone has “Retina Display” its pixel density is so high; your eye can’t distinguish individual pixels. The images and words are amazingly vivid and crisp. Everything just looks so real. In fact, once you see a Retina display, you’re never satisfied with anything less. Also, it’s impressive that iPhone 5 gives you long battery life so you can easily make it through your day. You get up to 8 hours of talk time, up to 8 hours of browsing over cellular networks, and up to 10 hours of video playback. What makes an iPhone unlike anything else? Maybe it’s that it lets you do so many things. Or that it lets you do so many things so easily. Those are two reasons iPhone owners say they love their iPhone. But there are many others as well.
Overall, iPhone 5 still tops my list!

2.) Samsung Galaxy S4

Samsung is also one of the best techie brands. They’re competing against Mac and recently they released their newest phone and that is the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Each feature of it was designed to simplify our lives. Also, it cares enough to monitor our health and well-being. To put it simply, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is there for you ;)
It is more sophisticated. The incredibly-wide FULL HD Super AMOLED screen fits perfectly within an extraordinarily slim bezel. It has a slim body, unique texture and design and has a super wide FULL HD SCREEN!!! Isn't that just awesome?

Here are its additional features:
Group Play: Share Music, Share Picture, Share Document,
Play Games
Story Album, S Translator, Optical Reader
Samsung Smart Scroll, Samsung Smart Pause, Air Gesture,
Air View
Samsung Hub, ChatON (Voice/Video Call, Share screen,
3-way calling) Samsung WatchON
S Travel (Trip Advisor), S Voice™ Drive, S Health
Samsung Adapt Display, Samsung Adapt Sound, Auto adjust touch sensitivity (Glove friendly)
Safety Assistance, Samsung Link, Screen Mirroring
Samsung KNOX (B2B only)

3.) BlackBerry Z10

Everyone was definitely amazed to hear that blackberry just released their first smart phone. So what are the advantages/highlights?

First, it features the BlackBerry Hub. It helps you stay connected whenever and wherever you are. It helps you stay close on updates and on what’s important.  Next, the new touch screen BlackBerry Keyboard provides an effortless typing experience. It learns your writing style and suggest words to help you type faster, more accurately and with the least amount of effort. And if you tend to mistype certain letters, the keyboard will remember and subtly adjust to make sure that you hit the right key. Another highlight is the BBM Video with Screen Share. So switch your BBM chat to BBM Video conversation and talk face to face with those that matter to you most. Also, it has Camera with Time Shift Mode. You can just pinpoint and adjust elements of your picture to get the photo you want. Time shift mode captures milliseconds before and after your photo. So, you can scroll back on the dial to open one friend’s eyes and then forward to catch your other friend smiling, before combining it all to create the perfect picture.

These are just some of the main highlights of the BlackBerry Z10 there’s actually so much more. So why not try it out?

 4.) Nokia Lumia 920

Nokia recently released their newest phone which is the Nokie Lumia 920. I personally am using this phone and I really love it! :P

They actually received an award which is the “world’s most innovative smartphone.” What I really love about this phone is the camera. It has PureView technology with a Carl Zeiss lens that captures blur-free videos even if the camera's shaking or in low light. Thanks to its Optical Image Stabilisation, which you can't get anywhere else. Next, the PureMotion HD+ display is the world’s brightest, fastest and most sensitive touchscreen: enough to make every colour clear and sensitive enough to respond to your fingertips, even when they are covered up. Another highlight is the Nokia City Lens, with it you can discover the city around you. Also, now you don’t need to plug your Nokia Lumia 920 in to charge it. Just put it on a wireless charger and you’re good to go. Another highlight is the Nokia City Lens, with it you can discover the city around you. Also, now you don’t need to plug your Nokia Lumia 920 in to charge it. Just put it on a wireless charger and you’re good to go. Finally, stream music for free. With Nokia Music you can stream and download unlimited music for free. Tap into the latest tracks. Create your own channels. Put on your headphones and play.

Amazing isn’t it? So spice up your life and try it out! :)))))

5.) Sony Xperia Z

Experience the best of Sony in a smartphone! Sony Xperia Z boasts a thin, attractive design that's also dust and water resistant. Its equiped with a 4G LTE, takes great photos and has sharp call quality. The design is "OmiBalance" according to Sony, which is focused on creating balanced and symmetry in all directions.
